Questions

The things couples usually ask

A few answers to get you started. If your question is not here, just ask; we would rather have a proper conversation than leave you guessing.

Weddings and ceremonies

Can we get married at Kellington Manor?

Yes. You can hold an intimate civil ceremony in the manor lounge for up to fifty, or marry the traditional way at St Edmund’s church, a three hundred metre walk up the lane, and come back to us for the reception.

How many guests can you take?

The Squires 1892 suite seats up to a hundred for the wedding breakfast and holds up to a hundred and fifty in the evening. Ceremonies in the manor lounge are for up to fifty.

Do you hold more than one wedding at a time?

Never. We host just twelve weddings a year, so when it is your turn the venue and the team are entirely yours. No other party next door, and nobody hurrying you along.

Do you offer packages?

We do, and they are a starting point rather than a ceiling. Each one is a foundation, not a fixed order: bring your guest list, your ideas and the things you would rather skip, and Sue will find a way to make it work. Add guests, upgrade the menu, adjust the drinks. The brochure lays out what each package includes and what it costs.

Food and drink

Can we bring our own food?

Other than your wedding cake, no. All the food and drink comes from our own kitchen and bar, cooked fresh on site and tailored to your tastes and any dietary needs.

Is there a bar?

Yes. The Squires 1892 suite has its own bar in the room, staffed for you and your guests, so the party never has to leave the party.

Staying and getting here

Do you have accommodation?

We do not have rooms of our own, but there are plenty of places to stay within a few miles and we are happy to point you in the right direction. We also have a small campsite in the paddock if you would rather stay on site.

Is there parking?

Yes, around sixty cars on site with overflow beyond, so everyone arrives without a fuss.

Where exactly are you?

Kellington Manor, Whales Lane, Kellington, North Yorkshire, DN14 0SB. Just off the A645, about a mile from junction 34 of the M62.

Are dogs welcome?

Very. Dogs are welcome at the ceremony and right through the day, and plenty of our couples would not have it any other way.

Brochure and next steps

Do you have a brochure with prices?

Yes. Add your details to the brochure request and we will send it straight over, with prices and a proper look at what is included.

How do we book a viewing?

Use the booking calendar to pick a time that suits you, or send us an enquiry and we will arrange one. There is no pressure, we just like to show people round.

How do we hold a date?

Once you are happy, we will hold your date and walk you through the next steps. A chat with us and the brochure will cover everything you need to know.

Still wondering about something?

Send us your question and we will get back to you, usually within a couple of working days.
